A.
We are a manufacturer direct, internet based wholesale artificial turf supplier. Because of this we can save you time and money using our expertise to offer the best products at the greatest value direct from the manufacturer. Q.

The installation of synthetic grass is very simple, and can typically be done over a weekend with a little help from a couple of friends. View our Installation Instructions.
Q.
Does JSA Depot Synthetic Turf stand up to harsh environments?
A.
Yes, JSA Depot offers high endurance, resilliance and heavy-duty blade specifications that stand up to harsh environments and take a beating under the most demanding applications. JSA Depot synthetic turf products also provide UV-resistant fibers for years of consistent durability and comfort.
Q.
Should I use an all rubber infill, silica sand infill or a combination?
A.
In a perfect world, synthetic grass would need no infill at all. The purpose for infill is to support the blades and add resilliance to the base of the blades. Sand is used as ballast to increase the weight of the grass and keep it on the ground.
At JSA Depot, we do not promote the use of sand infill. Silica sand can be abrasive to the blades, inhibit the drainage of pet waste, and silica dust can be a long-term respiratory health risk. Instead of using sand as ballast for the turf, we recommend the use heavy-duty landscape spikes to anchor the base of the turf directly to the ground. This holds the turf firmly while eliminating the need for sand as ballast. If you prefer a sand infill, we do suggest a combination of sand and crumb rubber for comfort and usability.
While some products are touted as “no-infill”, there is rarely an instance where infill would not be beneficial. At JSA Depot, we encourage you to add an infill of crumb rubber to most all turf products. The difference is that some products will need only a small amount (1/8-1/4 lb per square foot) while some may need more (1 lb or more per square foot). No matter what the amount, we recommend only using crumb rubber as infill. Especially if your application carries a safety concern or fall rating, then rubber is the best choice.
There are applications of some putting greens that require the use of sand infill. We provide a full installation guide to properly adding layers of sand to a putting green. An alternative is to use a non-infill putting green product.

Q.
Can I install JSA Depot Synthetic Turf myself?
A.
Yes. JSA Depot synthetic grass provides full installation & maintenance guides. You and a friend could easily install 300 – 800 or more square feet of synthetic grass in a weekend.
Q.
What if I want someone to come & install it for me?
A.
We can help you locate someone in your area who can install the turf for you. We have a vast network of contractors who are ready to help. If you are located in the Southern California area, JSA Depot already has a growing list of licensed contractors ready to install for you.
Q.
What else do I need as well as the grass?
A.
A crushed rock underlayment is needed along with seaming tape, adhesive, & granulated rubber. Refer to the installation guide for specific details. You can purchase these accessories from JSA Depot, or we can help you locate a supply close to you.
Q.
Does the grass drain liquids?
A.
Yes. Water will soak through the perforations in the backing of the turf & drain as natural grass does. If you are installing turf over concrete, JSA Depot synthetic turf offers a separate drainage barrier to carry liquids under the turf and straight to an existing drain.
Q.
How do I know if I have an appropriate space and what it will cost?
A.
JSA Depot is here to help. If you are looking for installation, a local installer can visit the site to help you determine what you need. If you are planning to install yourself, you can fax or email us a simple sketch of your area with dimensions and labels. This will allow us to help you determine the layout and the actual amount of turf needed. If you desire, we can also offer design tips to help maximize the overall beauty and function of your area. These services are FREE and are offered with no obligation.
Q.
Is there a warranty?
A.
All of our surfaces are guaranteed, even against fading, for seven years.
Q.
Are your products available for only residential applications?
A.
Our products are well-suited to both residential and commercial applications. Office and apartment complexes, assisted living facilities, and even recreation and parks departments realize the benefits of our very low maintenance greens.
Q.
Does synthetic turf get hot in the sun?
A.
Yes. As with any plastic product, synthetic grass does heat up in the sun. However, typically turf will not continue to radiate heat when out of direct sunlight, as the surface area of the blades tend to dissipate heat quickly as compared to concrete which retains and radiates heat for a much longer period.
Typically synthetic grass exposed to direct sunlight will feel at least 10 degrees warmer than real grass, and sometimes warmer. On excessively hot days some synthetic grass owners will “mist” the turf with water to dissipate heat.
Q.
Do synthetic putting greens perform like real greens?
A.
Actually, synthetic greens are more consistent than any real green, and they can be adjusted to meet your desired speed and stimp rating. Synthetic greens offer the realism of putting on a PGA course, but with virtually no upkeep and maintenance.
Q.
What are the payment options?
A.
We accept checks, cash, credit cards, and we also offer financing options for qualified individuals.
